A pretty Victorian silver, paste and Rose gold brooch.
It is an ellipse shaped brooch with a beautiful rim of sparkling paste stones, the centre has an applied rose gold panel engraved with a foliate design.
The brooch has an old C type clasp fastener and is fully hallmarked on the reverse for Chester 1899, makers mark rubbed.
It also has a small pendant loop to the reverse.
The aesthetic movement began in the late 19th century and was a movement that favoured beauty and championed art for arts sake.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, wear and signs of use commensurate with age, some rubbing of the marks, a few paste have been replaced with a very light green tinted paste stones.
Approx measurements:
1.5" width
0.5" length
