A gorgeous antique, late Victorian era mourning ring.
This is an initial ring with an applied gold letter M, set on a rich black banded agate with a white outer band.
The ring has decorative split shoulders and a smooth gold band.
This style was popular towards the end of the 19th century and through the Edwardian era, the popularity continued through the years and it remains a very popular style today.
It is marked 9ct on the inner band.
C1890s Victorian era, English make.
Condition:
Fair used condition overall, light surface wear / scratches commensurate with age and use, there is a crack across the agate at the lower corner and minor nibbles, the applied gold M has some overlay missing, has been resized previously.
