A handsome antique sterling silver full hunter cased pocket watch.
It is a nice quality lever watch with a closed back movement, it has a sterling silver bow stamped with the lion passant.
The front cuvette of the watch has an engraved Order of the Garter emblem and initials WM, the top of the belt is engraved with 42. RH.
The cuvette is fully hallmarked inside for sterling silver, Birmingham assay office 1887, the movement has a serial number of 143751 and is engraved with the Stewart Dawson name.
It has a white enamel dial with black roman numerals and gold hands, there is a subsidiary second dial with black hands, dial is marked Stewart Dawson and Co Liverpool.
Key wind watch, it does not come with the original key however we do supply it with a replacement key.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, running and ticking, glass is free from cracks and is nice and clear, scratches to the case mostly on the reverse, some wear to the hinge of the reverse cuvette.
