A sweet Victorian silver name brooch.
Much like we have name pendants and jewellery today the Victorians also enjoyed name jewellery.
They were mostly found in silver but sometimes other materials including gold and were often given as gifts.
This brooch features the name Ivy in applied 9ct rose gold with an engraved detailing and beading top and bottom.
It has an old c type clasp and pin fastener.
Marks and era:
Fully hallmarked for sterling silver, Chester, 1908, Edwardian era.
Approx measurements:
1.53" width
0.49" length
Weighs approx 1.87 grams
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some signs of use and wear commensurate with age, lots of dark aged patina could be polished if desired.
