Antique Scottish agate and sterling silver brooch, Victorian

A sweet little antique sterling silver and granite agate brooch.

It is a small sized bar type brooch with two ellipse shape granite agate panels either end and two silver beads to the centre of these.

An unusual little antique brooch with a surprisingly modern feel to it.

The brooch has an old c type clasp and pin fastener, pin is base metal and it is hallmarked to the reverse.

Marks and era:
Fully hallmarked for sterling silver, Victorian era, Birmingham Assay office, 1898.

Condition:
Good used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age, some tiny nibbles to some edges of the agates, overall patina, pin is base metal.

1.25" width
0.25" length
