Antique Sapphire double row ring, 9ct gold, Victorian

This impeccable antique Sapphire double row ring is a real blue beauty!

She definitely stands out from the crowd with lush rich blue sapphires claw set across the front of the ring in not one but two rows, with ten sapphires in total.

The oval cut sapphires are a lovely vibrant blue with typical inclusions and a good saturation, a conservative estimate of approx 1.19ct in total, estimated in the setting.

The ring has chunky smooth shoulders and a smooth band lending itself well to the spread of sapphires, the gold is a rich yellow gold and this world so well with the stones.

Marks and era:
Fully hallmarked for 9ct gold, Victorian era, Chester Assay office, 1893, some sections testing as 18ct, possibly from the resize.

Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, one sapphire is a replacement, evidence of a previous resize.
