A magical antique, Victorian era paste star brooch.
Glittering old cut paste stones set against the backdrop of aged silver patina give this brooch such a mystical feel to it.
The paste stones twinkling in the light and giving a wonderful celestial sparkle.
It is a ten point star and we think it looks like the North star, a beautiful symbol of guidance, set into sterling silver it has a closed back and an old C type clasp and pin fastener.
This is truly a magnificent piece and the craftsmanship really shows, it would make a wonderful gift for someone special or as a treat for yourself.
Stars were a highly symbolic choice in Jewellery in the Victorian era and they still hold strong there significance today as a symbol of guidance and wisdom.

Good used condition overall, some light surface wear and overall dark patina, slight bend in one tip, pin slightly loose when fastened.
