Antique gold Pietra Dura brooch, Victorian, agate, sunstone, lapis lazuli

A gorgeous antique pietra dura brooch.

It has a decorative scrolling yellow gold frame with a C type clasp.

The front is unusually decorated with a nice range of stones and colourways.

It is set in a geometric style with lapis lazuli, sunstone in the corners and different coloured agates.

Good condition overall, some soft solder to the reverse, some small nibbles and surface scratches to the front on the stones.

Unmarked yellow gold tests at 15ct.

English make, Victorian era, c1880's.

Approx 1.06" height, 1.33" width and 8 grams weight.
