The sweetest antique, late Georgian / early Victorian seal fob.
It is a tiny seal but with so much detailing, it has a small hollow cast bronze model of a sitting greyhound dog with an integral bale / loop.
The dogs collar is picked out in gilt.
The dog sits upon a platform which is bordered in floral gunmetal with a low carat gold rim.
It has a plain, un-carved, deep orangey red oval carnelian set to the base.
Could be carved to be personalised with a family crest or initials.
This would look great alone on a fine chain or stacked up with other charms and Fobs on a chain or bracelet.
A charming piece.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, carnelian stone good quality and strong in the setting.
