The front of the ring is designed as a snake coiled around a beautiful diamond set cross, the cross crafted from sterling silver highlighting the magnificent array of sparkling rose cut diamonds.
The snake has a single bezel set ruby to the head.
Such a finely detailed piece with amazing craftsmanship and attention to detail, if you are a lover of snake jewels then this is not one to be missed!
Made in the 1900s from 14ct yellow gold, it is enamelled in a lush, rich cobalt blue enamel with a smooth slender band that makes up a continuation of the snakes body as if it is coiled around the finger.
A true rare beauty of a ring, one of the most fine examples we have seen and sure to be pride of place in any collection.
Marks and era:
Russian marks for 14ct gold, 56 zolotnik, maker's mark and city mark are present but worn, c1900s, mark was in use from the 1900s to the 1920s.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, very light surface wear, wear to inner marks.
Ring face Approx 13.5mm length, back of the band Approx 1.9mm width
Approx 0.30ct weight collective total of diamonds.
