A beautiful little Arts and Crafts era silver and paste pendant.
It is crafted in sterling silver and set with a single clear paste stone.
The pendant has a pretty openwork design with a Quatrefoil shape, geometric vertical lines and a central flower detail.
Paste stones are made from a type of Flint glass and cut like gemstones and often placed in foiled or closed back settings, it is now highly collectable and was used commercially in the 18th century as an alternative to diamonds but was invented and used before this time.
This would make for a fantastic gift for someone special or as a treat for yourself.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, used, some patina and light surface wear, minor discolouration, nibbles and scratches to the paste.
Approx measurements:
1.25" length with bale
0.95" width
Weight approx 2.90 grams.
