This antique spider conversion ring is simply enchanting.

Crafted in 9ct gold it has been converted from a bar brooch into a ring, the band is made up from the bar of the brooch giving a sleek design with the spider taking centre stage.
The body and head in citrus green and blue spinel and paste stones.
The Victorian's began somewhat of an obsession with insect themed jewels from scarabs to spiders, entomology was increasingly popular with insects appearing in many places not least jewellery.
They were seen as an exotic fashion and this carried on into the early 20th century.

Unmarked, made from 9ct gold, bar brooch was an Edwardian era piece recently converted into a ring.
