A beautiful, Victorian 9ct gold Mizpah ring.
It is a band style ring with applied yellow gold lettering to the front of the band spelling out Mizpah.
This ring is a two toned gold as it has a replacement half band, the front yellow gold and the back rose gold, both 9ct and both Victorian era.
Mizpah is an old Biblical Hebrew term meaning watchtower and the meaning behind Mizpah in jewellery is a sentimental one: The Lord watch between me and thee when we are absent from each other
These jewellery pieces were popular in the Victorian era and often gifted as a symbol of protection and love between two people.
