This stunning antique 18ct gold Mourning bracelet is both delicate and bold at the same time, capturing the sublime craftsmanship of Victorian Mourning jewellery without being immediately obviously a Mourning piece.
This rare and unusual bracelet is made up of delightfully engraved gold panel links, the rich old gold glowing a buttery glow throughout, the panels are engraved with flora and leaves.
To the front of the bracelet there is a vibrant duck egg blue monogrammed panel with the initials MM picked out in gold, the lighter blue enamel pieces always being highly sought after.
To the reverse of this there is a locket back containing a spray of hairwork.
The bracelet fastens with a slide clasp and has an added gold safety chain.
Such a beautiful piece, ready to be worn and enjoyed again.
It is a small size bracelet, made for a lady with delicate wrists.

Unmarked, early Victorian era, c1840s, tests as 18ct gold.
