A very beautiful Arts and Crafts era Amethyst and sterling silver ring.
This ring is both chunky and heavy yet delicate at the same time, with the huge Amethyst stone and sterling silver setting, the soft light purple tones of the stone and the intricate floral design around the stone setting in the silver.
The large faceted oval cut Amethyst has an estimated carat weight of 5.03ct and exhibits beautiful light purple tones.
The stone is bezel set into a heavy sterling silver setting with a floral design around the rim which trails off onto the shoulders to the thivj silver band.
It is unmarked, tests as sterling silver, early 20th century, c1900s.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, lots of aged patina to the silver, light surface wear commensurate with age.
